Eight-colour perfector for French book specialistIME by Estimprim orders Rapida 105 PRO
Book specialist IME by Estimprim in eastern France ordered a new eight-colour Rapida 105 PRO with perfecting at the industry’s leading trade show, Drupa. The press suited to printing 16-page sections can print up to 15,000sph in perfecting mode and 17,000sph straight. It is expected to replace a competitor’s press in September.

Following the company’s takeover by the Estimprim Group in 2014, the time for a new press in Autechaux has come. The company currently operates two KBA Rapida 162a which were relocated from its historical site in Baume-les-Dames to Autechaux by the KBA-France service team. A high-performance, medium-format press was missing to guarantee complementarity with large-format jumbo presses. The new Rapida 105 PRO is equipped with fully-automatic plate changing and an inline colour measurement and control system.
