Challenge
Holzer Druck & Medien in Germany prints for global enterprises and as an innovative printing house it wanted to offer its customers exceptional print products. When looking for technology suited to short lead times and a brilliant colour reproduction on challenging substrates, such as uncoated, dark stock or non-absorbent film, as a longstanding Rapida user the company turned to LED-UV technology from Koenig & Bauer.
Solution
In 2015 the company chose a six-colour Rapida 106 with coater and kit for conventional and LED-UV printing given the wide variety of customer wishes. It allowed Holzer to create an advantage over others in the region. Managing director Klaus Huber values LED-UV’s high level of quality, expanded possibilities when printing on challenging substrates, odour neutrality, fast finishing and short lead times as well as the additional value created by in-house UV finishing.
