Challenge

In 2019, the existing technology and machinery base was upgraded by investing in two additional Rapida 106 perfector presses, significantly boosting the company’s sheetfed offset production capacities. An online shop and integration into other e-commerce systems soon attracted a stream of new customers and additional jobs. The result was a significant increase in production volumes and capacity utilisation. Lean processes were now imperative – for efficient order processing and maximised throughput while maintaining the same workforce as before.

Solution

In 2019, Silber Druck kicked off a company-wide digitalisation initiative. All process steps had to be digitalised end-to-end.
