Every new press from Koenig & Bauer is supplied with a starter pack of inks and coatings from our partners, individually matched to your product portfolio and press configuration.

Inner edges of the cylinder gap are difficult to reach
The cleaning tool suitable for all plate formats allows you to quickly and effectively clean ink and paper dust deposits out of the inner edges of the cylinder gaps in a thorough and safe way.

Appropriate for different types of use
This handy tool can be used to clean the leading and trailing edge on plate cylinders equipped with a pneumatic plate lock-up as well as for the blanket cylinders equipped with a lock-up system for metal-back blankets.

Versions
The cleaning blade is available in two different versions:

• Blade in 90° angle for perpendicular trailing edges
• Blade in 50° angle for angled leading edges

• Thorough, easy cleaning system of the inner edges of cylinder gaps

For optimised cleaning efficiency, a special device has been developed. It allows a jet of hot steam to be injected inside the cylinder gap, loosening and blowing out old ink and other extraneous materials.

Special nozzle geometry
The hot steam is directed under high pressure into the cylinder gap using an industrial steam cleaner. The geometry of the nozzles especially developed for this application allows a jet of hot steam to be directed into the gap in an optimal way. Gap edges can now also be cleaned “from below”, and caked-on dirt blown out.
