Finishing and enhancing print capacity
Your CI Flexo press can be equipped with additional single or double printing units for flexo or gravure – and also with hybrid technology featuring slide-in units. Vertical high-performance dryers at individual units ensure process reliability and effective drying.

Inline slitting
Inline slitting units prior to re-winding ensure reliable finishing (thanks to edge trimming) or separation of blanks in the web direction (inline slitting).

Register control for pre-printed web
Depending on a customer’s requirements, it may be necessary to re-print a web which has already been printed once. That calls for precise register for which we also have a suitable solution: an insetter system to control the register of the pre-printed web.

Web treatment
The surface of a substrate can be modified with a corona unit which considerably improves the printability of the film. A web cleaning system removes contamination from the web being processed. That reduces the contamination of inks and printing plates in the unit.

PrintTronic facilitates a quicker production start without the need for special register marks. Makeready waste is reduced to a minimum. The patented and innovative impression setting system enables also less experienced personnel to operate the press simply and intuitively at the control console.

For you, that results in enhanced automation thanks to process optimisation. And that means less manual operator intervention which saves you time and resources.

Existing flexo plates and impression cylinders can continue to be used so no additional costs arise. You do not need ink in the system for setting up when you have PrintTronic. That means the plates do not become contaminated and you become ready to print quicker.

The electronically positioned digital web monitoring camera ensures the quality of print results with the highest image resolution and top quality zoom lense. Thanks to its modular design, the camera system can be equipped with functions such as Smart Register, Barcode-Check, ink monitoring and error inspection. Offering various flashlight options (varnish, UV, hologram, backstrobe), the system can be adapted to meet your individual production conditions.

Profit from 100 % print image inspection over the full print format with live view. Suitable for all common materials, you receive brilliant pictures with complete image illumination using power LEDs, also with very reflective materials or holograms.

The inline spectral measurement supports you to maintain prescribed colour standards. The system works with an XRGA calibrated camera and, with stable measurement conditions, ensures reliable analyses, also at high speeds. Fully automatic spectral inline colour measurement provides all the parameters in order to operate an ink kitchen for example. The measured values are identical to those recorded by a hand-held device calibrated according to the XRGA standard.

With 100 % web monitoring, you check the quality of the substrate prior to printing. That enables you to log faulty areas which can then be marked with an inkjet system or insert strips for example.
